2nd Trimester

My birthday sucks this year! Oh well...

My DH is getting on my nerves, my b-day just passed, and we usually do something special with a group of friends or something romantic with just me and him. We did neither, I ended up cooking dinner, cleaning up, and doing laundry. What fun! Although, at least he didn't forget, he wished me happy d-day. But yet when a few friends called him to see what he was doing, he told them nothing. I know he isn't planning anything for the next few weekends either b/c we have graduations and weddings to attend. Feeling really neglected.

  • Sounds like hormones.

JUST KIDDING. Seriously, I am sorry. Maybe if you tell DH you feel down, he can still plan something? I am sure it wouldn't take much to bring your mood up! Let him know.

  • I'm sorry hun that sucks.

  • I would plan a romantic resturant for like say a thursday and be lke come on we are going out for my late birthday dinner... im a brat like that though LOL
  • that sucks!! why owudln't he treat it like any other bday? I'd be upset.
  • That is no fun at all!  I operate under the principle that if someone isn't going to treat me, then I'll do it myself so I suggest going shopping or ordering yourself something frivalous online that you've been wanting OR make yourself an appointment for a prenatal massage!  Speak up and tell him he's taking you out tonight for dinner...you are NOT cooking...under strict orders from the "the bump"!

If it makes you feel any better I'll be 9 months pregnant for mine this year.  I doubt it will be my best one yet either.

  • Maybe it is hormones, and he's afraid of being seen with me in public. I have been going through crying spells.  He is def not used to that. I am not a crier unless it is something serious, in ten years he's prob seen me cry twice.

    I agree with this!

  • I'm sorry.  My birthday was lame this year, too.  DH was out of town for work so it was me & Oscar, lol.  I was going to buy myself a cake but I thought it would be depressing and I figured DH would get one for me that weekend but he didn't so I pointed that out to him last night when we were in the bakery section at Fresh Market.  I made him feel really bad because I said I never got to blow out candles this year.  Haha, I'm glad I made him feel bad.

Aw, I am so sorry- I was kidding! You deserve a nice bday, crying spells or not!

  • 1st) HAPPY BIRTHDAY Party!!!

2nd) DH's can be asses sometimes. We just have to excuse them. Mine NEVER plans anything, but if I get some flowers & a Happy Birthday at least then I'm ok! Maybe he just didn't realize that you wanted him to plan something? He might have thought you'd be too tired because of the pregnancy? Girl I don't know, I can't explain for DH but I am sorry & I hope that he does surprise you w/ something really good this week! :)

  • Oh! At least he felt bad about it, maybe I should just guilt him into doing something. I'm the type of person who would want them to do something b/c they wanted to not b/c of guilt. I guess guilt works better! lol
