Dry skin?

Anyone else having problems with this? My face is dry in the winter, but by this time of the year I'm usually fine. The tough part is that I'm pale and need to use a high SPF moisturizer (usually Neutrogena 45) but right now it doesn't seem to be doing the trick.

Any advice? What's working for you?

Re: Dry skin?

  • I normally have incredibly dry skin but it's even worse pregnant.  I use Vaselines (sp?) Cocoa Butter body oil as soon as I get out of the shower.  At night before bed I use Eucerin on my face and use regular face lotion in the morning before makeup.  In the summer I might switch to a cold cream at night because I won't be as dry and the cooling feeling is nice.  I also use this Aveda toning mist in the morning after I put on my foundation and powder (before eye makeup because it makes my mascara goofy).  I love it because if my face is a little dry it clears it right up and it helps prevent dryness through the day.  It's a little expensive but I've had the same bottle for over a year.  HTH!

  • I put Lubriderm with spf 15 on twice a day right after the shower (if you wait too long after the shower it won't work as well), and I have an intensive moisturizer.  I have had horrible dry skin since I was little and I also suffer from dermagraphia and another skin condition called keratosis polaris.  I have found that the most effective thing is putting your moisturizer on right after showering!
