No. I've never been to New Jersey, but I've heard it's really dirty. I wouldn't want to name my daughter after a place that people think is dirty. You have a lot of great names in your poll.?
I think it's a cute name for a dog, that's about it.
"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasured day you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart...let me hold you while I may."
as a Jersey girl I have to say that yes it has a bad rap- but there are some gorgeous parts to the state- it is just the major highways go through some industrial areas
that being said- i agree with the PP. good name for a dog, awful name for a person (regardless of spelling)

LOL. New Jersey is a state, and as with most states, it has many, many beautiful towns as well as some not so nice ones.

Of course, I don't doubt that. I have family in PA and they talk about Jersey like it's a dump. That's the only thing I've ever heard about it, but I'm sure there are pretty places in that state. ?
The first thing I thought was actually how cute that name would be for a pet. I'm not trying to insult you, but I really thought that at first. I don't think it's an appropriate name for a human child though.
LOL!!! You guys are so funny! I did not plan on naming my kid Jersey. My mom recommended it and is obsessed with it and I just wanted to see the responses here - if it matched my response.
Re: Jersey?
Not in my opinion. Now it just looks like a made up spelling.
IMO, Jersey is a nickname for a state, or a kind of fabric. Not a name.
No. That just looks worse.?
Cute for a dog, not for a child.
If you want to honor NJ, why don't you name her after a city, like Elizabeth, or Pamona?
Ditto.

If the others didn't sway your opinion to no already...
Jersey is also a specific breed of cow. They are brown and cute and gentle...but it still doesn't make a great baby girl name!
Jersey = FAIL.
Jersie = EPIC FAIL.
Please don't.
Oh man, that's really bad.
I don't know that its a great idea. You didn't get the idea from Coyote Ugly did you?
This.
Oh no - that would make it much worse!
