as a Jersey girl I have to say that yes it has a bad rap- but there are some gorgeous parts to the state-  it is just the major highways go through some industrial areas

 

that being said-  i agree with the PP.  good name for a dog, awful name for a person (regardless of spelling)

Of course, I don't doubt that. I have family in PA and they talk about Jersey like it's a dump. That's the only thing I've ever heard about it, but I'm sure there are pretty places in that state. ?

The first thing I thought was actually how cute that name would be for a pet.  I'm not trying to insult you, but I really thought that at first.  I don't think it's an appropriate name for a human child though.

LOL!!! You guys are so funny!  I did not plan on naming my kid Jersey.  My mom recommended it and is obsessed with it and I just wanted to see the responses here - if it matched my response.
