Trying to Get Pregnant

The echo in here..

Is quite something.

Who's here....newbies, lurkers, everyone?

I just ran 6 miles in the heat (yes, we get heat up here)  and may be typing from the floor any moment.

Thanks Cathy! I think the PNV's are doing wonders for my hair. I haven't told my stylist I am TTC, but she keeps commenting on how much my hair has changed recently for the better! LOL

P.S. You are a soldier running 6 miles! That's awesome!

We are running a half at the end of the month. I have been foiled by the bump myself...so I dragged ass out there before coming here :)

  • I'm in and out.  And 6 miles!  That is impressive girl!

That freaking half marathon is coming up! Training by hoisting a wine glass wasn't cutting it.

I love, love, love that dress you are wearing.

  • We are having a fight discussion with MIL about watching/collecting the dog.  It's mostly DH being unreasonable, but the dog might be going to the hotel with us tomorrow, ugh.  I love Emma, but come on, I wanted a relaxing mini-break!

aww, thank you! Embarrassed I had not been feeling very sexy lately, but I feel better after learning my bump is more than bloat.. the kids up high, and actually causing that belly! woo-hoo.

I now feel much pressure for next week's pic. Hopefully my GAP maternity order comes in before pictures, I don't have much to wear that is cute these days!

That was a good plan.  I've been a drag all day besides the hour or two I actually went outside to do some dreaded landscaping.

I'm a bump on a log for the rest of the night now.

    Miz M!

Hey, I hear you. I love Sawyer but sometimes I want a fur-less mini break. I hope you get it sorted.

  • Newbie here......impressive run!
  • DH had corporate hospitality for the football so was drinking 12-9, with the majority of that free boozing, so he's just being an ass and not listening to anyone.

Emma is cuddled into me, she doesn't want any part of the drama.

PS: You can just send that purse right over here.

BWAHAAAHAA! Keep dreaming! That purse is my new baby. Hubs tried to touch it and I screamed at him.

And yes- actually been looking at the hal higdon program. Hubs and I are gonna run some local 5 and 10k races first, then maybe try a half in the fall first.

Do like my grandmother did with her couch - wrap it in plastic so it never gets touched.

Good for you guys. That higdon site really works for us.

  • I'd love to be able to try a half....gotta get myself into gear to do a 5K first.  It's still quite a struggle for me!  I'm signed up for one at the end of May, so hopefully I can get back into a workout routine by then.

My problem is I tend to be more a treadmill runner because it's just so damn hot out here. So I can bang out 5 or 6 miles on the treadmill no prob...then I go for a run outside and I die at like 2 miles.

AlternaTickers - Cool, free Web tickers
  • I was exactly the same. Exactly.

On the treadmill I can run like the devil is chasing me, outside I was half a mile.

I got the "suck it up buttercup" from MH (he LOVES to use my own words against me).

So, suck it up I did and it was a slow start but now great.

  • Now he's doing a Belfast accent, nice.

Oh, I know.  Here's another gem:

Lyse told me that to prevent shin splints, it is much better not to mix running surfaces. I was going back and forth between outside and the treadmill - and had massive splints.

Now that I only run outside - they are gone.

    Divorce yourself from the treadmill.

  • Here, we just failed shopping at a thrift toy store. How are you doing? You, hydrating?

Oh my gosh really? That's been one of my biggest problems. And I know it's not my shoes because in January I had my stride analyzed and was fitted for new kicks at a professional store.

Although, since I got my Nike +Ipod chip I like being outside because it tracks mileage and calories and does a ton of other cool things.
