Trying this again for the second time with editing and the beginning of a new tougher skin...the old one had some holes in it
Anyway, my DH and I just got married in January and we have decided to TTC sooner than originally planned but no one knows so it will be a suprise
Our journey might be tough since I have never had a "normal" cycle and take Progesterone 5 days every month to bring on my period. This was a blessing when we didn't want to have children but now I wish I had a normal monthly cycle.
I've decided to start tracking and using OPT to try to pinpoint the schedule of my cycle, if there is even one. Trying to track will be a challenge but I know the payoff will be worth it in the end.
So thats a little back story and the beginning of this crazy ride. I look forward to getting to know everyone
Re: Saying Hi take 2
Hi,
Welcome and GL!?
LOL! Welcome and Good Luck to you!!
P.s. You're now awesome in my book for reposting.
Welcome! Ovulation tests can't tell you when or even IF you are ovulating. They tell you that your body is gearing up to ovulate, your body could ovulate after that or could not.
I would recommend using OPK as a third sign when charting. Charting your basal body temperature is the only way to confirm ovulation.
The tutorials on FertilityFriend.com are very helpful as is the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. There are also some FAQs at the top of this board.
GL!
it's called a kilt, he's scottish
Well done on the tougher skin suit.
Hello and GL!
I signed up for FF's tutorial emails earlier today but I'll need to check out Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I feel like I'm stumbling around blind right now since its all so new.
Great book, really helps! So do the FF tutorials. You'll get the hang of it in no time!
Best of luck.
I would definitely talk to your doctor about TTC at this stage if you're currently using medication every month to bring on your period. Have you been diagnosed with anything in particular?
No, he hasn't given any formal diagnosis. I go to the same doctor my mom used so he knows the family history which I think is a huge plus. I went in Feb to see him and he told me to do the charting and give it a year to try naturally before we try other methods.
I do get AF on my own about 3-4x a year, sometimes more so I don't really need the pills but they give me control over it. Right now he has me only taking them every 2 months to see if it comes naturally which so far it hasn't.
This! I am very new as well but I feel so much more comfort knowing what's going on with my body. I am still plowing through TCOYF, but so far it has helped me understand so much!
Welcome and Good Luck!
HI there! I am also very new to this and I am sure I will face many stumbling blocks and get "flamed" a few times...but thats how you learn. It is nice to have this board where we can all discuss any challenges, frustration and excitement.
I look forward to getting to know everyone!
Good luck to you all!
