Which ones are you taking in which weeks of your pregnancy? ?I'm trying to decide when to sign us up for our child birthing class and when to take the breast feeding class.
I'm taking a Lamaze/childbirth class. It meets once a week for 4 weeks (3 hours at a time). We signed up for the class about a month and a half ago (they fill up), and we started it this past week. We're doing them earlier than most people b/c of DH's work schedule. Most women in the class are around 30 weeks.
i think hubby and i need to look into what we're taking ASAP. it still seems like we have so much time, but that time is going FAST. we're lucky because we get the classes at a discounted price (thank you, military).
I am due 8/22. ?I am signed up for the childbirth classes as a weekend intensive course in June when I will be 30 weeks along. ?I paid for newborn care and breastfeeding classes but didn't pick dates yet - I think I'll take those one (or two) weekends in July.?
I'm doing Bradley classes that are 12 weeks long, so they start next month when I'll be 28 weeks. If I were doing the ones the hospital offers, I would probably wait a little longer so I wouldn't forget what they tell me.
We are taking a prepared childbirth class and a breastfeeding one. One is this month and the other is in June (I forget which is when). The childbirth one we are taking is only one day, but it is all day. My H's schedule is nuts, so the weekly ones just weren't feasible for us. The BF one is only 2 hours long.
Make sure you at least look into yours soon. I casually went to see what our hospital offered and there were only 2 slots open before our due date (August). They fill up fast!
The person teaching the childbirth classes I've chosen suggested that earlier was better than later for her classes and suggested that we sign up for the May classes even though I won't be that far along

I'm due end of July. We had our hospital tour last week. I took infant CPR last Tuesday. May 17th is our childbirth Prep. Mid June will be our breastfeeding class and our baby care class. I wanted to get my classes out of the way before July just in case she's early. Also, DH has a funky work schedule, so we had to work around that too.

Have you asked when they suggest you take them?
