F/U to acupuncture appointment
Morning ladies!?
DH and I just got back. Zue, our acupuncturist, said since DH recently had an upper respiratory infection, he would need to be treated for that first before we could begin his fertility treatments. She also told us by checking his pulse, she could tell his kidneys were weaker than a normal 30 year old's should be.?
She started him on herbs and he'll go back next week. She told me I haven't ovulated because I got stressed out about DH's SA results this week. Geez, you think??
Well, on to the rest of my Saturday. Just wanted to share with y'all what was up. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!?

Hi Jme! I'm considering seeing an acupuncturist .. are you seeing one that specializes in fertility specifically, or just a general acupuncturist?
.. also, I want to talk to my doc next week about doing a SA for my dh.. Can anyone do it, or is it just up to your doc? Thanks!
Yeah, this past Monday, DH's SA came back in. His count was good, motility was good, but his morphology couldn't be worse. Only 1% of his sample contained normal sperm. Also, the white blood count in his sperm was high, which indicates some kind of infection in his urinary tract or kidneys.
He is going back to the urologist on Thursday to figure out what the infection is, but until then, has started acupuncture. I have already been going to acupuncture for 2 months now, and it has done wonders for me. I went from a 54 day cycle to a 39 day cycle in one month's time, something I don't believe would have happened naturally for me.?
Hi! I am seeing a general acupuncturist. They see all types of ailments, but the most common patient they see are fertility patients. I started going to try and shorten my cycle lengths, which so far, has been pretty successful.
Anyone can get an SA if their OB orders one, but your insurance may not cover the test if you get it out of the blue or before your Dr. wants to test for fertility issues. How long have you been TTC??
This is cycle# 7 for us, so we've been trying since last October.. I'd love to do it since it's one thing with dh that could be keeping us from getting ku, but many things with me.. At least if everything looks ok with him, we can focus on me. I guess it can't hurt for me to ask my doc! Right now she thinks if I lose weight it will happen. I really don't think that's the issue though.. but I'm losing it anyways
IMO, it couldn't hurt to ask. I did, and now we know what our focus should be. Yes, my cycles are longer than 28 days, but I have confirmed I am ovulating through charting, and I think by June, when DH will retest, I should be close if not at a 28 cycle.

OMG- JME, we are fertility twins. Only I haven't been to the accupuncturist yet to make the great progress it seems you have. I have shiteous long cycles and my dh's SA revealed the EXACT same as your dh's (minus the infection). Let's stay in touch as we continue on our journeys. I get my cd3, cd14, etc bloodwork/ultrasounds as soon as AF comes and will talk to her about accupunture then. Keep us posted on your progress!
wow, that's fascinating. I have never really learned much about acupuncture. I can't believe that she could tell you all of that!

You think that's cool, check this out: She can tell through my pulse whether I am pregnant or not by as early as 5 DPO, and if I *ever* do get KU, she can tell through my pulse what the gender is before the big U/S!?

I just wanted to chime in b/c my dad is an acupuncturist. He has had soooo many success stories with infertility. He also can tell if you are having a boy or girl based on your pulse;). Well worth the money!
