Multiples

Anyone watch "In the Womb" on National Geographic?

I forget when it was actually on Friday, but I DVR'ed it and watched it last evening.  It was so amazing to see how multiples develop in the womb and how they interact.  Those videos were so incredible.  I can't believe they could get those types of shots.  The coolest thing was finding out that multiples develop a better sense of spacial recognition because they have one or more other babies in there to interact with.  Singletons only get to play with their own arms, legs, and cords.  But multiples learn to interact with each other!

If you get a chance to watch it, definitely do!  Highly recommended for MoMs!

  • I got it through netflix while i was pregnant. My husband and I loved it!
  • I concur!!!  I bought the first one on DVD way back when I was pg with my first (I caught it on Nat Geo about a week after my m/c so it was too painful to watch really, but I wanted to see it again when I got pg again), and the multiples one when I got pg with the trio.  It is amazing; educational and touching.  I learned so many things from both movies.  I also would highly recommend it to everyone who is pg, whether you watch the multiples one or the singleton original.

  • you can watch it on Youtube, too- it's in like 10 segments... but it's free :)

i saw it when it first aired 2 years ago - when i was pg with DS - it was awesome..

  • Such a cool video, I was a little disappointed in how much of it was computer generated though, I thought it was going to be all 'real'.
  • i saw this early on in my pregnancy, and i really enjoyed it. what is cool about it is the interaction between the babies. the computer generation is kind of weird -- i expected real footage for some reason. but--- the computer generated footage is really cool and well-done. i am picturing my babies interacting like that in my womb, which is crazy and amazing!
