I was thinking about getting some blonde highlights in my hair, but I don't see many people with them these days. It seems most people (and celebs) just have overall color.
I haven't colored my hair in years, so I have no clue what's "in."
I don't think they are "out" so much as people are getting more than 1 color highlight. I get my entire hair colored with 3 different colors. So I guess I get highlights & lowlights. I also switch mine up all the time, sometimes I have chunky highlights (mainly in the winter) and then sometimes it's very subtle/thin highlights (mainly summer).
Chunky highlights are out- like when you see light streak, then a dark streak. My colorist weaves in my highlights- this is more "in," you probably just don't notice because it is more subtle. I love it- it looks far more natural and therefore when it grows out the roots are not as bad so you can go longer between visits.
Re: Are highlights "out?"
I think people are just too broke ass to do that, Also, its more of a summer thing so you may see more of it coming out now.
Look at those boys, how stinkin cute are they!
