Teething

What are the signs?

Does it often cause fever?

How long does it last?

When did your baby teethe?

TIA!

Drooling, not STTN, off food and bottles, gnawing on toys and fingers, crankiness.

I have heard that it can cause a low grade fever, but every child is different.

    Depends on the baby.

DS got his first tooth almost two weeks ago and his second poked through yesterday.  He is a little whinier than normal, gnaws on anything he can get to his mouth, but other than that is acting normal.

Irritable, crappy sleeper, drooling, chewing on everything.

We usually go through 3 nights of the worst sleep before a tooth appears.

It may cause a low grade fever but I wouldn't assume that a fever (especially a high one) is caused by teething.

Lots of drooling, night wakings, inconsolable crying (only when the first teeth came), drinking less from bottles (BF was fine), low grade fever.

There was no fever with the two bottom teeth came in.  DD got a low grade fever when the two top teeth came in.  She has a low grade fever the past two days, and looks like two more bottom teeth are coming.

Can lasts a few days to weeks, until the teeth break through the gum.

DD got her first two (bottom) teeth at 4.5 months, and the top two at 6.5 months.

We just now got his two bottom teeth.  He waited almost a full year to get any which was fine with us!

We had a little grouchiness and fussiness for a couple of days as it was starting but he has slept thru the night still and still loves his bottles!
