I'm embarking on a project that seems simple enough...decorated burp cloths. If I buy the cloths, get fabric and ribbon, and sew the fabric and ribbon on w/ matching thread in a straight line, it should be smooth sailing, right?
Take cloth diapers and sew things like fabric, ric rac, ribbon, pompom trim, etc to decorate. Or you could applique a monogram or design. You can even zig-zag stitch along the edges in a constrasting stitch and that gives a boutique-y finish as well.
Here are some our Gigi made for Mason, if you'd like ideas:
I still find myself surfing the Web to find ideas for baby boy crafts/sewing projects...not as many for boys are there are for girls, but definitely some cute ones out there!
If you wanted to scoop out creative ideas, you could search on Etsy too...
