anyone NEED to use a crib bumper?

The last 2 nights DD wakes up and when we get into her room, either an arm or both legs are through the slats in the crib.

I feel like this both situations (using a bumper or having limbs outside the crib) are dangerous and I don't know what to do.

  • try a breathable crib bumper

  • I am in the same boat.  Last night DD's head was pushed up against the railings.  A breathable bumper just isn't padded.

  • Breathable bumper
  • We are using the bumper because she jams her head into the slats or gets limbs stuck like you say.
  • We use a breathable bumper. The very first night we put DD in the crib, her arm was hanging though the slat. So, off to BRU we went!

We do!  It's a breathable one though so it's not padded much, but it works for us.  DS is a super squirmer and always wakes up at the opposite end of the crib and up against the sides in one way or another.

  • We have a breathable one too.
