Babies: 0 - 3 Months

if the father of your baby is douchey, come in

so DH was OOT and wasn't supposed to get back until late tonight. But they finished early and got home late LAST NIGHT instead.

Great, right?

Not so much.

It's like he forgot how to be a father in the days that he was gone. He had zero patience with the baby's antics last night, leading to double work for me.

And I'm not sure what happened this morning -- something about garbage breaking in the kitchen -- but he was stomping around and cursing under his breath. When I asked what the problem was, he said he was tired.

TIRED!

Try taking care of your kids by yourself for a few days, buddy. We'll see how tired you get.

GAH.

  • lol, what does it say about me and mine when I saw the title and came on in?

DH is supposed to get up once a night with Noah so I can catch some extra sleep. He's only working per diem right now so he's home w/the baby while I workk. How come at 1am this morning he's waking me up to help him put a onesie on and help clean up spit up?! WTF?! Men are idiots sometimes.

  • i feel like dh is oot sometimes and he's in the living room w/me at the time! i think part of it is me being so used to doing it all day that it rolls into the night too. i am anxious to see what it will be like next week when i go back to work too....sorry you had to deal w/it all!
  • soley based on the title of thid post, there are a few people missing.
  • I think my DH is pretty good overall but does not have a CLUE as to how much work DS really is. I've been back at work 1/2 time for 4 weeks and still do the same amount of everything at home than I did when I was off. Next week I'm back to full time and that will be changing.

I also have to be OOT next Friday for my 1st overnight (yikes) and while I will miss DS so much I am hoping DH gets an idea of what I've been doing the last 3 months. He hasn't had to get up in the middle of the night since DS was a few weeks old. I'm up every night except for the 1 week when DS slept through the night - and that train is long gone now!
