We are still staying at my dad's until tomorrow and DH offered to change DD's diaper this morning.  Well he left her in the bassinet part of the pnp while he took the dirty diaper to the trash without putting a new diaper on her.  So she peed all over and I have no other place for her to sleep.  And this isn't the first time this has happened so one would think he would know better.  Argh.  Plus he didn't have enough time to clean it before leaving for work, so I was up cleaning the damn thing at 5:30 this morning.

That sucks.  But look at the bright side: at least DH didn't leave DD in the changing pad and she peed there and then fell out and got hurt!   At least he knew enough to keep her safe!

They just don't get it sometimes!    I think all dads make this mistake at some point - it is frustrating but you have to just remind them and eventually they get it.  DH left DD on the changing table at 3 weeks to go answer the door - she had no diaper, no clothes and was at least 3 feet off of the ground! 

Even better was my dad who although it has been awhile as the father of 4 should have known better then to let DD "air out" on my parents' sofa with just a burp cloth under her.  She wet everywhere and my parents' had to have a professional upholstery cleaner come in to clean the couch.  My mom and I had run to Target for like 15 minutes and came home to a mess - at least we all laughed about it!
