have you tried blocknursing? where you only let lo feed off of one breast for 2 feedings in a row. this was only thing that helped me out. i only did it one day a week when it was really bad.
That is what I am trying now. I just read about it yesterday, so I haven't seen a change yet.
The other problem is one of my nipples is inverted, so I only have the letdown issue on the "normal" side. The inversion somehow helps prevent it from happening. So DS prefers to nurse on the one side anyway, and won't finish a full feeding usually on the other.
its always something with nursing. i had inverted nipples as well. i used nipple shells to help draw them out prior to feedings. it helped a lot but made my oversupply worse!

Yep, I tried a nipple shield for a few days too - which probably didn't help things.
I think the issue is that I was trying to pump to boost my supply because that was the advice I kept getting...I haven't pumped in about 5 days or so, so hopefully that will help slow things down.
I never knew nursing was such hard work - people make it look and sound so easy!

So many issues! LOL.
Thanks for the link though - I'll check it out
