Just saw your post on the reflux. Thank you! There is some great info in there. Yes, I cut out most dairy..like milk and yogurt but I have to admit to the occasional cheese and butter. I also did drastically reduce my soy. I know, those two foods are in a LOT of other processed foods. I do eat very little processed food though. I need to check my salad dressing.
I suspect its not a dairy allergy though. This week I also started cutting out broccoli so we will see if that helps with the gas. I just made an appointment with a GI specialist at Cedars-Sinai, but if he doesn't work out I will definitely page you. Thank you for the great info!
Oh, and yes, he has a sleep positioner, you are right that helps him, although he has always had the problem of sliding off it, so I find him in a puddle at the bottom in the morning. How do you solve that? We've tried propping him up with rolled up towels but he always manages to slide down anyway.
We also try to make him eat very slowly (which is harder at the breast than with a bottle) and burp him more frequently, which does help with the spitting up (although it pisses him off no end!)
Re: *Mrs.Mcinstar*
Hailey slides off of the wedge too. She didnt much when she was younger & we had a sleep positioner too but now she does. I havent come up with any resolution! =/
Let me know how it goes with the GI! Hopefully some relief is in Henry near future!!
