I have only felt my little girl move once while standing. I feel her all the time while sitting. My guess is that this is normal. Are all of you around the same number of weeks feeling relativey the same thing? btw..I am a bit on the fluffy side.
My baby is definitely more active when I am relaxed... but I feel him plenty while under the shower. Don't know if he likes water too much or he just hates it!!
I feel both..but MORE while sitting/laying down. However, in the past week I've felt him a lot LESS than I had the previous several weeks. I'm thinking perhaps he moved into a new position/up higher behind a little more "fluff" as when I do feel him it doesn't feel as close to the surface as before...almost like he's deeper inside. Come on baby, come back out so mommy can feel you from the OUTSIDE some more!
Hey Mer... I checked your profile... where is this "fluff" you speak of? I see none.
And, I feel him a little when standing... usually in line at the grocery store, or something like that. But most definitely MORE when sitting or laying down. Or if FI snores... that makes him jump.

I thought the same thing, but then i realized i was looking for the kicks when what really was happening was more rolling and body parts rubbing against my tummy instead of full out kicks.
I do feel more movement when sitting but the movement standing up happens now more frequently as I get further along.
FH - you totally freaked me out. I was thinking you were psychic.
Mer001 - I'm glad you spell our name right. I hate when people switch the second e and the i around. It makes me want to throat punch the offending speller. I too am a Mer though men tend to call me Red for obvious reasons.?
Re: Sitting vs. standing movement
Totally feel the baby more when I sit or lay down. I have felt him/her when standing up and I have to say it's a bit disconcerting.
Worst baby movement moment - when I'm spending quality time with my porcelain throne. THAT is not an experience I want to share with my LO.?

No, not psychic. I don't have that talent, sadly.
