I have no idea how, but I got milk in the clear tube that connects the pump to the horn...
My questions:
1. Is this a big deal? I mean, do I need to clean it before my next pumping session?
2. How DO I clean it? The plastic applicators do not come out -- so the only way I can think is to submerge it in water, and then blow air through... do you think that is sufficient?
Any other thoughts?
Re: Pumping moms....Enter :)
What kind of pump do you have?
Did you get milk in the pump bc that could ruin the pump. I would call whoever makes your pump and ask them.
My Blog
do you have those steam clean bags that Medela makes? You can clean the tubing in them and then let them air dry or whip them around like a lassoo (seriously) to dry them. I get milk backup in mine b/c I pumped the entire bottle one time without realizing it and the milk got backed up in the tube.

Go Steelers!
It's the Medela PIS.
Yes, I'm sure it's milk... and I'm not TOO worried about it ruining the pump, as it's only at the end where it attaches to the horn... no where near the other end.
