2nd Trimester

Grumpy, Complainy, and Generally Not Nice to Be Around

My boss is leaving tomorrow for 11 days, I'll be indispensible while she's gone, and my body is choosing THIS as the right time to shut down.

Sore throat for two days, now all the head-sinus crap is building up in my head. And I was looking online, and all the drugs that tend to be safe will make me sleepy.

Guess I'll be dozing in and out of the 'Canes Game 7 playoff saga tonight.

Um, yeah. The Bump be too crazy for pics of my kid.

  • Well you can take plain sudafed or any cough drops or any throat spray, but hope you get to feeling better soon!

  • My boss noticed yesterday that I was crabby - the voices of those that work in the cubes around me were like nails on a chalk board. The one lady asked today if I was bubblier...wait...I didn't get the memo that pregnant ladies are supposed to be bubbly 24/7.

  • Final game tonight!

    I'm excited & I don't even watch hockey!

  • I took Tylenol cold when I was sick a few weeks ago, it didn't make me too drowsy.
  • Sounds like me. My allergies are kicking my but. My doctor said its safe to regular clearitin ?which is non drowsy.
  • Hope you start feeling better soon!! I've been battling the same crud for the last week and a half!! GO CANES!!
  • I know, I have been sick like crazy lately, too.  According to two different pharmecists, Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride (aka sudafed, etc) is safe to take as needed.  You have to get it behind the counter, but it has worked pretty well for my sinuses.

The pharmacist told me things are ranked for safety A, B, C, D, & X.  D and X are no goes, B is better than C, and pretty much nothing is A since they do not test on pregnant women, so they cannot say anything is 100% perfect.  B is the best you can get, and it all and all safe for pregnant women. Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride is ranked B.

Drink tons of fluids, and I hope you feel better :-)
