Parenting after a Loss

Keeping LO out of dog's water

K loves to play in the Dog's water bowl.  Any ideas of how to keep him out of there?  He also beelines for the dog's food bowl when dog is eating and puts his hands in with the dog's.  Fortunately the dog moves away and doesn't bark at K.

  • I dread the day that the babies find the cat's water/food/and litter box.  I hope you get some good advice so I can file it away for later use.

  • How big is your dog? You could get one of those raised feeders. Or just pick it up and put it down when your dog wants to eat or needs a drink. If you do it this way, you could gate up the kitchen to keep kellen out until the dog is done.
  • I don't know about dogs, but we are planning on putting the kittie's food and water on the counter so she can jump up there and eat. She is so miffed she is not the only child anymore that I am afraid she would pee on the baby if he messed with her food (that is her last sacred domain...poor kitty!) We are also going to put the littler box in the spare bathroom's bath tub and bath DS in our bathroom (only one bathroom to clean again for awhile...)
