How many ounces?

How did you know it was time to up your LO ounces? E is BF but takes bottles while I am at work. She has been taking 4 oz and seems fine.  I have offered her 6 oz before and sometimes she finishes them and sometimes she doesn?t (and then I end up wasting an oz or 2 of BM). Just wondering how many ounces your 3 month old takes/took.  And will she tell me when she is ready to get more?

chloe is almost 4 months and takes a 6 ounce bottle. sometimes she eats all of it and sometimes she leaves an ounce or a little less. at 3 months she was taking 5 ounce bottles and doing the same. hth

It's hard to tell, my BF 9mo old will still only take 4oz or less. I'd say if she is consistently not finishing the bigger bottle then she isn't hungry for more. And fyi, you can reheat bm another time so you don't have to waste any left overs!
