Yes ladies this is the name my cousin just text me to let me know thats what she is naming her daughter due in Aug.

I asked her how it was pronounced. I didn't know if it was Elle -Own-a or Elle-On-a.. It's Elle-On-a. They are going to call her Elle.

I so want to tell her how awful the spelling is but know it will cause more drama than it's worth. (she told everyone in our family that she thought the name we picked was silly) So I don't want to go there. My SIL just had a baby last week and they named her Alana. So basically the same sounding name but at least Alana is a real spelling.

Just thought I'd share.

i would think it was pronounced like eliana ell-ee-ahn-uh. that's an ugly spelling... you have more restraint than i do, i would have to say something about it. not to mention she will probably be one of 10 elle/ellie/ellas in her class.

And what was so wrong with Elana or Ellanna that they had to go all @ssname with the spelling?  Some people.
