Selfish? Proclaiming Saturday as Mother's Day

I asked DH if we can celebrate MY Mother's Day on the day before.  That way we can ask our mothers over for brunch or whatever.  I don't want to share my day.  Its only third Mother's Day and I feel like because I am the one who cooks, cleans, and organizes everything that I don't enjoy the day when we have them over to our house.

I don't think my DH has anything special planned but I told him that whatever we do, I'd like Saturday.  Selfish?
