We are just now starting to TTC, but we've entertained some names. I'm pretty bored so I figured I'd see what responses I get. If/when we have a boy his name will be Harrison Edward. DH is a third (nicknamed Trey) and his name is Harry Edward *last name is a fruit*. I do not want our child to be Harry *Fruit* so we're changing it a little while honoring the name. If you can think of a good nickname for a fourth, let me know!
That aside, I want to continue the family name Ellen if/when we have a girl. My grandmother's name was Ellen and mine and my mother's middle names are Ellen.
Throw out some first names that go well with Ellen or middle names for the first name Ellen (nickname would be Ellie). Or just throw out names that are similar to Ellen (Eileen, Elayna).?
If you're bored...thanks ?
Re: suggestions
If he's going to be IV, then the name has to be the same as the first three.
Ellen Karina
Ellen Renee
Ellen Julia
Rebecca Ellen
Ellen Cora
i know a 4th who has always gone by IV (eye vee). all the other 3rds and 4ths i know are named chip, trip, or skip, which are nms but they're pretty common around here. i really like harrison by itself and don't think it needs a nn.
for a girl, i would not suggest going with eleanor (pretty but overused and becoming even more popular) but i really do love ellen the way it is. if you feel like you want to change it a little bit, you could name her elle or use it as a nn or even elsie could be cute. some other names from baby wizard are:
elodie
ellery
eloise
ellis
elsa
nell
good luck!
i like the idea of naming your son Harrison in order to honor your husband's name (harry) - so cute! i can't think of a nickname for "the fourth" i would either call your son harrison, harry, or edward/eddie (because of his middle name).
ellen is a cute name. you could also do eleanor.
middle names for ellen:
jane
nicole
grace
elizabeth
suzanne
michelle
marie
I totally disagree. It's not overused for her generation. She won't be one of the multiple Eleanors in her class. My vote goes for Eleanor. ?
