Am I the only one bothered by names that end with the same letter as the middle or last name? For example, my last name starts with a B. So I have trouble naming my son Caleb or Jacob because they would run together. Or Danielle Louise. It's like you have to pause to make sure it doesnt sound like Dania Louise. Anyone else find it weird, or am I alone? I suppose its not as big of a deal as a middle name.?
?Just a thought!?
Re: Question for you
I am also not a fan of one name ending with the same letter that the last name begins with, but it usually makes me laugh. For example, my sister (last name Nichols) was considering using Ben. All I could think of was that the baby's name would end up sound like Bennickels.
It depends on the name for me. Sometimes I totally notice it and think it's off. Other times I don't think twice about it.
Too bad- Carys is a very pretty name. I dont actually think the flow on that is weird. S with a Sh sounds different.?
Yes, I agree. My brother is Michael L and it doesn't run together. Also, we picked Nicholas and our last name starts with an S. It doesn't run together either. Thomas S did really run together so we took it off the list.
What bothers me more is the alliteration of names like John J or Dana D. I'm an example of this before I got married. My name was Laura L and I never thought twice about it until recently. I'm so glad I'm Laura S now.?
