I'm fat, the most I've ever weighed except when I was pregnant. I have no motivation to lose the weight. Basically because I'll probably get pregnant soon and will just get fatter. I tell myself afterward, I'll lose the weight, but I honestly don't know that I will.
I've been off BCPs since Nov, some months actively trying, others just seeing how things turn out. Regardless, it's been 5 cycles (I'm now on the 6th) and still am not pregnant. It's pretty discouraging.
My house is a wreck. It's a disaster, dishes in the sink, laundry to be folded and put away, etc. It's driving me crazy yet I don't have the motivation to do anything about it! WTH is wrong with me?! Someone just slap the crap outta me and tell me to get my sh!t together! LOL
Re: I'm stuck in a rut....
I'm sorry. I feel the same way a lot. I posted a "I'm fat and have no motivation to do anything about it post" yesterday. I just washed some dishes this morning and laundry is never-ending. It's like one big circle --- clean, wrecked, clean, wrecked. I just do what I can. Hope you get out of your rut and get a bfp soon. I think we're going to head out to enjoy the weather and I'm going to forget about all the crap for a while.
Slaps face. Get it together woman!
Just kidding! But maybe if you just go through the motions you might fool yourself into actually getting it together.
Liam is 5!
LOL Stacy! I need to just get up off the couch to start today, but this weekend it'll be the same story. If DH is here, it seems to motivate me more for some reason, but he's only off Saturday and we were planning on a trip to the zoo. So, I doubt much gets done then!
The funny thing is when I'm working I'm totally fine. But the days I'm off I'd swear I'm depressed. WTH?!

I totally understand as I was going through the same thought process a couple of months ago.
Look at exercising not as losing weight but as being healthy. Yes, you will gain weight with a pregnancy so exercising right now to lose weight will seem futile. But you want to be healthy during a pregnancy, right? So, if you exercise for your health it makes it seem like there's a point to it even if you end up pregnant.
Let me be your weight motivation. I was overweight when I got pg with DS. I lost the pg weight, but then it crept back on again. I was 18 lbs heavier when I got pg with DD.
Now, 4.5 months pp, I have lost 16 lbs and I am not even close to my pre-baby weight -- I still have 11 lbs to lose to get there. Then, I need to work on the marriage weight that I put on in the 2.5 years between the wedding and the baby.
Do it now, before you have a TON to lose like me!

I think you just have to find your groove. I get in ruts too but I've found that when I get up in the morning I have the most energy & motivation. I clean first thing everyday. Of course, it doesn't last and the house gets messy again but if the beds are made and dishes are done it helps. I get very tired in the afternoon so I'm worthless after lunch.
As for exercise...I'm horrible at doing it on my own. I only excercise when dh does it with me. Is your dh willing to help with that?
