Is it easy to clean?
I've decided I can take the Maxima no longer with two kids. I almost traded at the beginning of the year, and thought, NO, I'll be fine with two carseats, a stroller and a ton of other crap in a four door car.
I've always had leather, and no dealer around here has one in leather in the price range we're looking. We're not buying brand new, it's an '08 and all of the ones on the lots are cloth.
Re: Who has cloth interior in their car?
I have a loaded Nissan Rogue- but it has cloth seats. I actually love the cloth!
I do have a seat protector underneath Ians car seat, but I really do like the cloth.

Wonderful!
actually, I clean the inside of my car about once a week anyway, so adding steam cleaning probably wouldn't phase me much. It would be worth it to have the extra space. LOL!
I could be extra mean, and say No milk in the car. I've already made a no milk in your bedroom/big girl room rule. Those no-spill nubys aren't so no-spill if you sit or roll over on them.
I just got a 2009 Nissan Quest and LOVE it. It has cloth interior which I wanted (dont like cold leather in the winter and hot leather in the summer) but the cloth is all Tan....ahhh! But we got an awesome deal on my van since hubby knows the dealer and he gave it to us at cost. He also threw in a bunch on stuff for free like scotch guarding the interior which dh took to have done today.
I also have a no food in the car rule and will be looking into seat protectors. I have 3 toddler so Im not very hopeful that there wont be any spills. I know they will happen and for the most part they can be cleaned up. There will however never be red liquid allowed...ever.
So, what are you going to get? Are you going to venture into the minivan club? With 3 in car seats and all the stuff they all require now and will in the future, plus friends in the future a mini van was our only option. But, I really like min vans anyways. I have always wanted one.
Lucky Ducky - I'm getting a Quest, too. We're looking at 2008's. My DH has never bought a brand new vehicle and says he never will. And I'm fine with that. I'm jealous of yours, though. They are going to stop making them in 2010. The internet said in 2010 they will phase out the generation 4's and move on. Unless by that they mean a new body style????
Another reason I'm so picky, is b/c I only want a white one. There is an 07 on the lot w/ leather, but it's red. And there's a blk '06 - but I really just want white. And the interior is that tan color. We may look into the fabric guard.
BTW - I got my seat protector's at Target. Tehy are Eddie Bauer and just lay under the carseat.
OMG, you will so love a quest. We bought new because we paid for it in cash. I will never finance a new vehicle. We put half down and my mom allowed us to borrow the other half from her. In all we saved about $7000 because DH knew the dealer.
I just love my quest. Esp since the 2nd row seats fold down flat into the floor and the doors open with a touch of a button. So convenient with 3 toddlers. Mine is red (the 2009 red, which is darker than the older model reds) I didnt care what color it was as long as it was not grey, white, black or navy blue. So, that didnt leave much and we got lucky that he only had red anyways.
Well, in the model I wanted anyways. We go the S which doesnt have all the extra bells and whistles but enough for my satisfaction. I really wanted a SL but whatever. Maybe next time. DH says he wants to trade this in after 5yrs or the warranty runs out. (in which he got the guy to extend for free)
I didnt know they were going to phase out anything. Im not really sure what a phase 4 is. I hope they dont stop making the quest. We will probably trade from one quest into a new quest. I love it so much. I even test drove and inspected the Odyssey, T&C, Routan from VW (which I was so let down about. I expected more. It was so small) the Sedonna and the Seianna (sp) I drove them all and was down to the Odyssey and Quest. I actually test drove a Quest and took it to the Honda place and got keys to a Odyssey so I could compare them side by side. I had stared at internet pictures until I could probably draw the darn things. I wanted to see them both in person. The quest really is the most roomy and has more leg room between the 2nd and 3rd row. Plus did I mention how nice it is that the 2nd row seats fold down into the floor. There is a small hump but at least you dont have to take it out of the darn van if you need the room.
Can you tell Im super excited about my Quest? Its only 2wks old! I even had dh take my picture with it the next day.
I'm glad you like yours. thanks for the info. I know not much about them, other than my quick research on the internet. My aunt had one and loves it.
Seriously, the reason I want it... It's the "prettiest" of all minivans, IMO. I won't even consider driving any other. Sienna would be my 2nd choice, but the back end of the Quest is so distinct.
I'm like you on the grey. But, I love the white!
