    I hate this "need a nap but it will screw up bedime" phase. DD turned 3 in December and the days she doesn't take a nap, she's a bear all afternoon. And on the days she does nap, we're guaranteed to be getting her to sleep at least an hour later than normal. So I totally feel your pain!

    Sam is also up. he is *supposedly* starving, & has been eating since 8:00. he'll eat a bowl of grapes, then ask for a piece of cheese. Polish that off, then ask for cashews. This is completely out of character for him, so I'm humoring him & assuming he's going through a growth spurt. But, I'm tired- hit the  sack already, kid!
