I believe it. I have some cc debt - no where near that though. If I had to guess, a lot of my friends would be in that %. I feel like most people live above their means.
Nope, no cc debt here. When I was young and stupid I probably ran up about $9,000. I'm sure I know a few that have that much. It does seem high but not unrealistic.
I believe it, we use to have that but have worked our butts off the past couple of years to pay it completely off. Most of it was from our wedding. We still have some credit card debt but no where near that amount & it feels so good.
We don't carry it over month to month, but our CC certaintly has gotten high at points. We put everything on the card, then pay it off at the end of the month.
I imagine some people who do that charge 10K monthly, it's really not that outrageous to assume.
Re: 80% of Americans have $10,000 in CC debt
Is it $10,000 or "at least" $10,000?
I imagine this number will be going up (considering the economy and all the job lay offs).
Wowza.
We have no cc debt, which is great. I am so glad we pay our bills every month - we use ccs for everything.
Now my student loans, on the other hand, well... lol. An education is priceless, right?

We've never carried credit card debt, but I'm not surprised at that statistic.
