Baby Names

MN help, PLEASE

We are wanting to use Helen for the middle name after my grandmother...  Are 2 girl names we are torn between are Hannah, and Livia

My daughter LOVES the name hannah, and keeps saying thats what she wants her sister to be named, I LOVE both the names very much and so does my husband. Lots of family have put their opinions in and like both hannah, and livia, but think that hannah helen sounds funny they say.  What are your opinions??

My grandmothers first name is Velma, her middle name is Helen, but we liked helen more for a mn

Re: MN help, PLEASE

  • Livia goes a lot better with Helen! I do like the name Hannah though...but both are pretty!

  • I really like Hannah, but it does sound s bit funny with Helen. Then again, if you're not running around calling your daughter "Hannah Helen" then most people won't even know her mn.

Livia is NMS. Sounds like it's missing the O. I do like Olivia despite it's ridiculous popularity at the moment.

  • I like Hannah better, but it does sound funny with Helen, maybe if you use 2 MN or a form of Helen. Only thing that comes to mind though is Hannah Marie Helen Lastname or Hannah Mary-Helen Lastname

  • I like Hannah but too many H's. Can you think of a different combo? What about Anna Helen?

  • What about Hannah Helene?

Hannah is very pretty, as is Helen. I'd go with that. You really don't say the middle name often so don't worry about it sounding strange. I don't think it does anyway. Beautiful classic choice. I really like it!
  • Is Livia a name? Isn't it missing the O? I think it sounds super weird without the O and she may get mistaken for Olivia all the time. So, in that case I would go with Hannah. I like alliteration in names, so I don't mind Hannah Helen.
