How accurate are Ovulations kits?

This is our first cycle of trying and I just tested with an Ovulation test (low and behold I'm suppose to be ovulating). For me that is something, since I found out while trying to get pregnant with Preston that I don't ovulate every month.

We bd'd on Tuesday and I just tested ovulation this morning. Does that mean there is a chance? We will try again tonight, but that is our last chance this week. Babycenter says that I am suppose to be ovulating Tues - Sun.

fwiw (and tmi) - I'm not showing any big amounts of discharge (like you are suppose to have when ovulating).

I dont know..used hem last week when I shouhve ben o'ing and never got a super dark line, tried this week when I had some more discharge and got super dark lines fr 2 days..they can show your body is gearing up toO but never even actually O

OPKs are 99% accurate when used correctly.  If you are positive now you'll more than likely O in the next day or so.  Get busy when ya can... there's a chance :-)  I got my positive this morning too (maybe we'll be BFP buddies soon)  We got busy last night and I plan on tonight tomorrow and maybe Satu morning (insurance sex ha!ha!)

With N we had sex on CD 14, I got a postive OPK on CD16 (which was O day charting). ? We did not have sex again in the fertile period after CD14, so its entirely possible. ??

Well they are suppose to be accurate but check this out.....I took the Answer Brand this cycle (20 days of sticks to test daily) and the first 2 days were negative then I got 8 days of dark positive lines. My dh was soo sick of having sex that he peed in a cup and tested and his 2 lines were just as dark as one another (pretty dark). He said, yeah, I am ovulating too.....they are junk! I would use the digitals or first response. I hate spending the 40 on smily face opk's but I will be doing that until we get pregnant. GL to you. I will say I have been pregnant 3 times now (2 mc) and we used ovulation kits and they always worked the 2nd month well this is our 2nd month;(

Yes, there's definitely a chance.  I'd keep having sex though just in case! ;-)

With DS I used OPK's but found that the digital ones were the only ones that I could accurately interpret...they're fool proof!  I got pg the first cycle trying using digital OPK's.  Definitely worth the $$!  GL!!!
