2nd Trimester

For all of those who did an early gender scan

How accurate did they turn out to be?

I have an opportunity to get a quick gender scan at a local 3d u/s clinic this saturday at 15 weeks. I know it could be to early to tell, but i wanted to know if any of you had the early scan and were told one thing and then it was wrong at your 20 week??

 Thanks!

Re: For all of those who did an early gender scan

  • I can let you know on Tuesday. I had a 15-week ultrasound for medical reasons and thought we saw boy parts. "Big" ultrasound is first thing Tuesday morning - I am anxious to see if the tech was guessing correctly.

  • I did an early scan at 15 weeks and they couldnt tell the sex, at 17 weeks we found out it was a girl!
  • I was between 16 and 17 weeks and it was correct.
  • 3-D scan at 16 weeks, 2 days = boy. Confirmed at 19 weeks.

  • I got a scan for spotting reasons yesterday at 14w3d I think 15w might be too early as we couldn't see anything. 16-20 is the best bet!
  • was told at 12 weeks - boy

confirmed at 18 weeks - boy

  • Girl at 15 w 3 days

    Girl at 20 w 2 days

  • Well lets see iv had a total of about 6 ultrasounds so far so the one at 13 weeks we seen it was a boy and then every single one after that still a boy. They say that boys are the easiest to see that early but just because they dont see anything dosnt mean that its a girl but in a lot of cases it is. I guess it just depends. I had a 4d scan at 13 weeks and it was awesome because you seen the whole body it was cool. My friend is a ultrasound tech thats why iv had so many. but good luck
  • I had one done at 15 weeks and they said boy.  I Just had my big u/s done at 18 weeks and they said definatly a girl.  So I went back yesterday to the 3d place, they rechecked and definatly a girl! I have had 2 friends do this and they never had a problem so I guess its just depends on how good the tech is and if the baby cooperates.
