How long do you have to wait (after doing the BD) to take a HPT?  I'm very anxious to know!  Thanks.

It depends on if you were ovulating or not at the time of the BD.  My advice is to get a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility and reading through it.

In general,  it's good to wait until at least 14 days after ovulations...even better to wait 17.

Do you know when you ovulated -  are you charting or using OPKs or a monitor or anything? That makes it a bit easier to figure out.

Based on my chart I ovulated this cycle but it was 8 DPO.  I may be getting my hopes up for nothing.

Depends if you BD on or around ovulating.  In general, it's best to wait until your period is a few days late before taking a pregnancy test.

If you normally ovulate around day 8, then wait until day 18 at least (10 days past O), but you probably won't get accurate results until 12 or 14 dpo.
