Cheap Maternity Clothes

I had some luck at Burlington Coat Factory, they had mat. pants for less than $10 and shirts for less than $5.  I had bought one pair of mat. pants at Motherhood and after I took all the tags off and wore them I realized one of the legs was sewn crooked!! And they cost me $40!  The clothes at Burlington Coat Factory aren't the highest quality but they are cheap and I love my pants I got there.  I suggest checking it out if you have one near you.  Just wanted to pass this on since I saw some people not wanting to splurge on mat. clothes.

  • I also found some good sales at JC Penney.  I bought 3 work pants for $5 each and some leggings and shirts pretty cheap.

  • I am one of the lucky ones- not only did I have garbage bags full of mat. clothes given to me (3 of my friends just had babies at the end of last year and are about my size), but we also have a Wee-Sale here in my town- it's like maternity and baby clothes consignment! I've gotten Gap Maternity pants for like $3!

All the rest of my clothes are from Target or Old Navy! hehe

  • I meant to post something about this the other day. I didn't have much luck with pants, but they had tons of great shirts... I got plain t-shirts for $2.99 and some cute work tops for under $10. Worked out really well, considering I did NOT want to spend mroe on maternity clothes than I already have.

  • The jeans I got at Burlington Coat Factory are kind of scratchy, but get the job done.  I did get two pairs of shorts that are comfy though.  I was actually kind of disappointed with the shirt selection.  Since a majority of my pregnancy will be during the Spring/Summer months I kind of want all cotton shirts.
  • This is my second pregnancy and I will tell you last time, which was like 8 months ago mind you- lol- I had all kinds of different store pants, (old navy, motherhood, target, jc penny)  And this time my mom bought me for Easter, a pair from Gap.  They were half off making them $45 still, but I can tell you- I have never had anything on during either pregnancy SO COMFY! I LOVE THEM! I will never buy a different brand of maternity pants/shorts. AMAZING!  Just thought I'd let every one know- plus I'm excited! haha

  • Although I know it's a little expensive, but I see it as using more economical sense - I bought two pairs of convertible pants from Motherhood, $40 apiece, but I will probably wear each pair 2x week at work - one day leaving them down long and another day rolling them up.  I have one pair of khaki capris from Gap Maternity for the "dress-up" days and one pair of non-pg jeans that still fit me, so that's it for me. I'm not spending any more money on pants.
