What are absolute necessities to have at home when you first get home from the hospital with a new baby?  I am totally drawing a blank here.  I need to know what I need both for the baby and for me... in all seriousness.

We have: diapers, wipes, clothes and I will BF.  Any other baby "must haves"?  What about for me?

Fo me it was: frozen dinners, the boppy, super stretchy/comfy pants, a few good movies. Oh- and my fav snacks.

we used her... it was like a bouncy seat, but it was the FP Papasan? ?She was so comfy all swaddled up in that when we first brought her home... ?

Since you're bfing...how about nurse shields and lanolin lotion?

Also some tucks pads and an extra squirt bottle. The hospital sent me home with a little container and also a water bottle, but it was nice to have backups in every bathroom. You might also want to get some cheap undies and some pads.

Besides what others have mentioned ... 

You: Motrin. Water bottle (drink every time you nurse). I slept in cheap cotton sports bras. Extra camera batteries. Lansinoh.

Baby: Swaddler. Thermometer. Mylicon. Coming home outfit?

For me, I felt like I needed to stock my fridge and pantry since I knew I wouldn't be going out to buy milk, etc.  I didn't have time/energy to cook or prepare any freezer meals.  Fortunately, we had a ton of friends and family drop off meals each day.  I made sure I had cheap big girl panties, pads, breast pads, soothies, Lansinoh, milk storage bags and nursing tanks.  I wish I would have had a few more bottles (I pumped and sometimes gave DD bottles).  I also wish I would have had lots of batteries in different sizes on hand...it's amazing how much of that baby stuff requires batteries (her bassinet alone eats batteries like crazy).  Oh, and I wish I would have had more Boudreaux's Butt Paste and Mylicon!  I needed it!  GL!
