    I read up on it today.  Moral of the story is that anyone can be that type of person, regardless of stereotype.  Scary.

    I just saw and read the story on MSN.  That is really scary! I feel bad for his fiance.  It sounds like she really wants to believe that it is not him.

    They have him nailed to the wall.  They have video of him leaving the hotel.  They have traces on his phone -apparently he was using a web service because they traced his IP to both locations.  What an IDIOT!  Poor girlfriend too - I cannot even imagine!

    I can't believe that case!  How crazy.  I got on their wedding website on the wedding channel dot com this morning and people were already writing all over their guestbook.  I cannot imagine what that girl must be going through.

    I think there was more to this case than simply buying used stuff. It sounds like it was a modeling thing or something like that. Everything I've seen has been very vague. I mean, who meets someone to buy stuff at a hotel? Weird. That's not to say that we shouldn't all be extremely careful when buying and selling online. I always try to meet in the Target parking lot during a busy time or something so that there are lots of people around. I even try to bring someone with me if I can too.

    He was in med school and seemed really normal!

    The CNN article said "A woman identifying herself as Markoff's fianc?e said in an e-mail sent to ABC News he "is the wrong man" and "was set up."

    "Unfortunately, you were given wrong information as was the public," Megan McAllister wrote in the e-mail. "All I have to say to you is Philip is a beautiful person inside and out and could not hurt a fly!"

    She accused Boston police of "trying to make big bucks by selling this false story to the TV stations. What else is new??"

    From what I understand he was meeting women in hotels for "massages" - they had posted their services on craigs list.

    According to MSNBC, he was meeting with women who advertised?
    "exotic services" on CL. ??
    And it's crazy that the fiance doesn't get it. ? I feel bad for her. ??
