Questions for Daycare references?

in 2nd Trimester

I think we have found our daycare person! We are sooo happy. She is licensed for 8 but only takes 4 kids at a time and only up to age 2. $50 a day (way better than the huge daycares that are around 72.50 a day) About a mile away from our house and on my way to work.

She gave me 6 names of present and previous parents. Any ideas what I should ask them?  I am drawing a blank here???

    Did they have any problems with the daycare?  What kinds of problems?  What happens if you are late?  Did their child seem happy to go?

    That is great.  I would just some open ended questions about their experience with her and their kids.

    My mom ran a licensed home day care for 25 years.  It's a different type of a relationship between the kids and the home day care provider.  My mom has kids in their 20's that keep in touch and call her their other mom.  $50 per day is the average, which is great.
