This should really come from your guy, so no fair asking the question and typing the answer for them. :)The question:As an almost-dad, what scares you most about having this baby? And why? Be honest. Anything goes.?Edited to add examples: (Scared of dropping it on its head? Of never having sex again? Of losing your social life? Of hearing chimey baby toys every time you walk in the door?...)?(Also, if you don't mind, can you tell me your first name?)Thanks so much!?
Re: Q for DH's ONLY...
Rodney
Failing them when they most need a friend/advice.
My name is Cody and nothing scares me about having this baby.
(Oh geez...sorry for that... Maybe you will get some good answers from the other huisbands!!)
I'll take that as..."I'm most scared of my wife seeing the real answer to this question..." ?:)?
OMG this is making me all teary eyed! Yay for DH's!
Andrew
The thing that scares me the most is the fact that there is such a huge unknown that comes with being a first-time dad. Will I do everything right? Will my wife forgive me if I do something wrong?
Luke
Affording the baby as it grows/ being able to provide all the things it needs
You guys are making me sick. Mine's response was the "I'm scared of just having kiddy sh*t everywhere forever and only hanging out with people with babies that just talk about babies and poop and stuff..."
oh well.?
This answer is from my DH Jason: Nothing scares me, Ive been through it twice....
(Now from me: there has got to be something scary about it, I just know it. This is his 3rd child, but first with me, You know there has got to be something that has crossed his mind, like the acceptance amongst his children from a past relationship, considering they don't get to see him as much as they should.... There has got to be something! But he keeps saying no)!
Joe (2nd time dad)
That something will be wrong with the baby.
AGREED!
Matt
Fear that I will screw something up.
I'm not really "scared" of anything, per se, like I don't think I'm going to drop the baby on it's head or screw something up really bad... but I guess my biggest concern is that having a baby will force me to grow up. I'll have to drink less beer, play less video games, be more responsible, etc. But we have to grow up sometime, so no biggie.
Oh wait, there IS one thing I'm scared of. We're having a daughter. I'm scared that when she hits her teens she's going to rebel and hate me and scream that I am ruining her life.
--Gary--
In it, to win it....LoL! I'm actually really excited for the both of us. All that stuff like chimey baby toys, and kid stuff will only make me grin for ear to ear.
Shawn
There is nothing to fear but fear itself.
My name is Adam.

Money, because of all the unknown costs that come with babies. That and we weren't really expecting to have twins.
Ed
I am afraid that I will miss things when I am out to sea.
