Multiples

Recommended books on multiples?

Any suggestions? I am due in october, and I also have a 3 year old, so I'm looking for some guidance!

Re: Recommended books on multiples?

  • Do you mean pregnancy-related books or parenting? For pregnancy, a favorite on this board is Dr. Barbara Luke's "When You are Expecting Twins, Triplets or Quads".  If there is a parenting book for twins + a three year old daughter, I need it! lol!

By the way, good luck! I was due in October of this past year and I have an almost three year old daughter too.

  • i heard twin sense is good.

  • for pregnancy - Dr. Luke's book is a must.

for parenting twins - I loved "Twin Set" and also "Ready or Not Here We Come" - which was a funny read and nice b/c the author has a toddler + twins- similar to you and I, so offers some advice with that, too.

both of these go through infant - school age which is great to have as a reference.

  • Having Twins and More: A Parent's Guide to Multiple Pregnancy, Birth, and Early Childhood (3rd ed) by Elizabeth Noble was my favourite read.

When my twins were born I also had a 2.5 year old, feel free to page me any questions :)?

  • I was on Amazon the other day ordering another copy of Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child for a friend that just had a newborn and I saw that Dr. W. is coming out with a new book in June called Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Twins! Not sure of how good it will be because they are only taking preorders now and it has not been reviewed yet, but it may be worth picking up a copy this summer. I know his first book was so helpful for me and my girls so I would hope this latest edition for multiples is just as good.
