Anyone ever been to the Dogwood Festival?

It's this weekend at Piedmont!

Just wondering how crazy it is (specifically parking)? I'm considering going...don't know though.

yes, we go every year, except last year when it was at lenox, lame! but we're planning on going!  parking is usually bad but we've always found a spot, with enough people coming andgoing you'll be able to find something. 

also, the 420 festival is going on in candler park this weekend too which is also kid friendly and fun!

Where do you park Heather...are there a lot of parking vendors down there? On the website it says the preferred parking in the Lanier Parking Deck (1155 Juniper Street Garage) Is that fairly close to the park?

we just always park on the street, either somewhere on virginia ave or 10th street, or one of the side streets off of 10th, sometims even over on park drive.  not sure about the parking deck as we've never parked there but I'm sure it couldn't hurt.  but we always just do surface streets.

By doing surface streets that would mean I would need to know how to parallel park huh? Bwwaaahhahaha!!!

The parking deck is a block from the park-not far at all.

We're going to the Alpharetta Art Festival tomorrow morning.  We figure it will be less crazy than the Dogwood Festival, it's closer to home, probably easier to park.

Yep we use to go every year when we lived next to the park. We would go tomorrow but walking around the park probably isn't on the bedrest list. I wish we could. The dog competition is always fun to watch and the art is good. Plus they have all the good festival foods out.

You could probably park at the school across the street too.  I know they open it for events.  Usually charge like $5 or $10.
