I'm planning on cooking a pot roast in the crockpot for tomorrow night's dinner but I'm not really one with knowing how to do things without a recipe. I plan on putting the meat, obviously, potatoes, carrots and maybe mushrooms. I don't know what juices and flavorings and things you're supposed to add. I did check a couple websites but didn't find something that fits what I want. Anyone care to share your pot roast recipes?

Re: Anyone with pot roast recipes?
This isn't pot roast per se, but it's close. And I swear to God it's one of those things you make and everyone raves and raves and raves.
You can do it in a crockpot...

So good!
Liam is 5!
All I do is throw some potatoes on the bottom, halved or quartered or whole if they are small red ones. Put the roast on top of the potatoes, then I dump a packet of liption onion soup, one can of cream of whatever, throw a bag of baby carrots in, and done.
So easy, and sooooo good.
this is pretty much what I do to and it is yummy
2-3 lb roast
4 medium potatoes, cubed
4 medium carrots, sliced
2 celery ribs, sliced thin
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
3 cups water
Put all ingredients in crock pot, cook on low 7-8 hours. You can also add salt, pepper or garlic powder to your tasting.
