  • a co-sleeper huh?  What is that and where can i find them...I gues iw ill be doing some research....SO your boys are now abotu 3 months and they have been sleeping fine together???  Maybe that is what we can do....??  Jsut to save a little bit of money???
  • A co sleeper is like a pack n play but smaller and less versital (sp?).  If you have enough room (we live in an apartment so we dont) you can just use a pnp in your room with the bassinet feature. then move to the crib.  That will save you a little money if you are already planning on getting a pnp.

My boys cuddle in the crib and they look for each other they dont bother each other they like it.  The only reason we are looking into finally buying the second crib is because at almost 4 months they are getting to tall to share a crib.

  • We have a pnp they sleep together in our room and they have 2 cribs yet to be used. We are going to switch them to their cribs tonight.
  • we have two bedside cosleepers (arms reach minis) and 2 cribs.

We want to use the Angelcare monitors- that sense motion/breathing- so you have to have them in separate beds to use it.

we got the cosleepers on craigslist- so saved a lot there... and our cribs are from Ikea (Leksvik) and super affordable (also become toddler beds) so it didn't kill our budget too much.

  • We got 2 cribs for when they're older, I think we may put them in the same crib in the beginning.

I had a lot of trouble with what to put them in in our bedroom early on- I considered the cosleeper but I knew I also wanted 2 PNPs (for upstairs/downstairs, travel, whatever) & didn't want quite so much extra 'stuff'. I don't know how long they will be in our room & I would like to transition them to cribs earlier rather than later if I can (but of course I may totally change my tune when they're here :) ), so I decided to do 2 PNPs (not the twin kind) which have a max wt of 15 lbs in the bassinet, so if they are born small, they could be in there together for a little, otherwise we are lucky to have room for 2 of them in our bedroom if we decide to keep them in there awhile.

  • You will definitely need two cribs eventually.  We had one of the larger cosleepers (same size as a pnp but with one drop down side) and two cribs.  We didn't build the cribs until we took down the cosleeper when they were 3 months.  At that point we moved them from our room to their own room and own cribs.
