I seriously can't stand highchairs any longer. One of my sons, wriggles himself out of the straps and stands up all the time. It's constant, I pull him down, he stands up. It's gotten to the point where he stands up and yells "sit dooooowwwwwwwnnnnnnnn". I took the harnesses off because I figured they could sit in them appropriately. They still have the lap straps on but he gets himself out of them. My boys are so little that the trays are pushed back the entire way and they still can turn sideways and get out. The kicker is, they will sit well in a chair if we are visiting someone. So, my question is when do you transition to booster seats? Is it too early? Should I put the harness back on? I just can't take it anymore and I don't know what to do!
Thanks for listening!
Re: Highchairs...'till what age?
look on my blog! i just got a table from IKEA and the boys are eating at that. or you could try boosters at the big table. daycare taught mine how to eat at a little table, so i can't take the credit for that.
not that i'm completely getting rid of the high chairs yet, but for now, they're not being used.
