Ok, did anyone ever figure out the points calculations?

Because I see people with less posts and more points than me and people with more posts and fewer points than me.

It confuses me greatly.

And did anyone ever figure out whether or not nesticles/boxes/bricks/whatevers are tied solely to posts or is it a combo?

I feel a sudden NEED to know.

I think the boxes are tied to posts only.  The points is weird. I think it depends on how many responses/stars you get and if you use the polls and blogs and stuff.

I have just come to accept that this is something I may never know.

It lessens my daily stress greatly that way.

So if I start starring my posts, I'll get more points?  Huh.  Good to know.  I never pay attention, except when it is obvious someone has passively-aggressively one-starred a post.  Because that is so freaking lame.

I'm still sad thenestbump fixed that functionality so you can no longer see who is being passive aggressive.

yeah, I think you get more points for starred posts, polls, etc. and probably views/replies. I guarantee it's a completely obnoxious algorithm that only a computer can decipher
