Multiples

Update, I didn't take him in.

Thank you so much for the advice, but I have no clue what the he1l I am doing anymore. He is definitely not dehydrated. He was throwing up consistently for the first 3 days and then it was like a day on a day off etc. He didn't throw up yesterday and had kept things down today as well, but then tonight it was just violent. Afterwards he seemed fine again. I packed the diaper bag, we put his brother down and I had him changed and ready to go, then I realized at the ER they wouldn't do anything for me, other than tell me to give him pedialyte, which is not what I want them to do. I am frustrated and tired, and I just want to help him but don't know how. Yesterday I turned stool samples in to the lab but haven't gotten the results yet. I called my friend who is a dr. and she agreed that the ER will likely tell me this is nothing I can't get taken care of outpatient. He is asleep now, and I plan on checking on him several times and if anything comes up I am taking him straight to the ER. My plan is to show up at the pedi's office tomorrow and tell them I am not leaving until they at least start scheduling the tests they ordered. 10 days is way too long (he also had a day two weeks before where he vomitted all day then it stopped) I just want to be able to help my little man.

Re: Update, I didn't take him in.

  • I just wanted to say I hope he feels better and you get answers real soon! I can't even image the frustration and helplessness at this point. 10 days is a long time to be sick! Poor baby...and poor Mommy! :(
