Just had the most precious moment

Colin woke up crying so I went up and sat him in my lap with a blanket over him and he culed up on me and went back to sleep. I just cuddled with him and rocked him for about a half hr. It was just so sweet, I also shed a few tears b/c it was so precious and he hasn't done that with me in the longest time. He barely sits still long enough to cuddle these days. If dh were here he'd think I was nuts, only mommies would understand.

I find myself rocking Ga a lil extra sometimes b/c I know it's not going to last for much longer...it's just nice to know that your what they need at that moment. And not to mention the peace...b/c they will be back to shrieking in no time!!! Enjoy it!

They are so sweet when they are sleepy and cuddly, aren't they? It still gets to me sometimes too, just how much I love him. Yes, I have become a big sap since having a baby!

I'm so with you there. I look at him and just feel blessed that he is with us. I've become a sap as well and can no longer watch programs that involve anything negative with children. Life is so precious!

aww, that is sweet.  I love it when Caroline cuddles up and lays her head down on me.  When they were little, that's all they knew how to do.  Now, they do it because they want to be close to us.  Its so sweet, I sometimes choke up too.

I'm so jealous.  DS has never let me hold him when he wakes up crying.  Usually, I go in and pick him up and he just points to the bed and wants to get back in.  I guess sometimes that makes me super lucky that he is independent enough to self-soothe and put himself asleep.  But sometimes I just wish we could cuddle.  At least for the last few months he loves to read books on my lap, so I steal all my cuddling then.

awww, how sweet! ?I totally understand choking up. ?When E was sick last week, she would curl up on me and fall asleep with her head on my shoulder. I wanted to sleep in her rocker because I don't get that very often.?
