I really like some from A Pea in the Pod but I'm confused as to what size to get. I was a small in pre-pg jeans and I definitely want a pair I can grow into. Advice?
If you are trying them in the store (vs ordering online) I would buy the size that feels a little big right now. I bought a pair that fit the day I bought them and 2 weeks later, they were skin tight. Especially in the thighs. HTH
It depends on where they are fitted. My favorite ones were the secret fit jeans. The panel is huge, but lightweight and really stretchy. It starts low on the pants - like where a low rise pair of pants would sit. So you just have to figure how fitted the thighs are - my legs were like tree trunks by the end
I wouldn't get too big, though, because they'll keep sliding down. I wouldn't go up more than one size, but depending on fit, I might just stick with what you would normally get for now.
I love my Gap long and lean demi panel jeans I bought in my 1st trimester - I bought 1 size larger than my normal size, and now I just wear them low (under my belly) and they stretch to fit.
All of my maternity pants are Gap since they come in size long. I bought one size bigger than I'd normally wear and I've been wearing them since 16w. They are definitely more snug in the hips now, but I can still wear them comfortably.
I agree with pp about not going too big. It took awhile to grow into these ones and if I'd bought too big they wouldn't have worked for a few months.
best jeans...Motherhood Maternity Secret Belly jeans...my pre-pg size was a 6 and I started out in a Med. in these jeans....then eventually a large. was able to wear them until the very end of pregnancy.
Re: Mat. jeans help
If you can, go to a store and try them on. It's just like buying jeans when you aren't pg. Sometimes you just don't like the way they look.
I can still fit in the pg jeans I bought when I was 16 wks pg. Just make sure you have room to grow and they don't fit perfect now.
