Talk to me about getting out with multiples

I have DS and nanny twins the same age. I'm looking to get out and get them into more activities during the day, like going to the park and such. I was thinking of taking them to the library for some toddler time there to get started. There's story time every week, but next month they are having a character visit. Nut Brown Hare is coming and I thought that might be a nice little commitment kind of visit the first time around.

Timing wise it would fall right after the morning nap and before lunch. So I thought I'd pack milk and a snack in the diaper bag in case we need it. Of course there's cramming 3 car seats into one car, so we'll need to test that out first. We have a stroller I could put the twins in and a wrap I could carry DS in. At least that gets us in and out.

For bigger trips, like maybe taking them downtown to the aquarium, I have a friend who offered to use some vacation time to come with. (All approved by their mom of course).

What tips/tricks do I need to know about? I'm expecting it to be a little harder with the three of them, since that's more then one per hand. Of course two of them are walking now so that is a little nicer (but harder too).

I take my 3 out all of the time, and really do not have any issues. So far when we go out i pretty much keep them in the stroller, but i do take them out to eat.

Right now i have only one that walks, and the other two are slowly catching up. When they are all walking I have found these kid leashes that are hands free. I know that i am going to get strange looks, but it is going to be the only way to keep them all safe, and not running away in 3 different directions. I am still going to use my stroller, but once they can walk i know that they are going to want to get out from time to time and walk.

I have a carrier, that i use every once in awhile and when i use my double stroller, but now that my kids are getting bigger, caring and pushing kids gets really heavy.

    Good luck taking them out.

It was a cool little tool my brother showed me. Go to danasoftware.com or something like that. It's on the siggy, sorry I can't see it right now. It only shows you your information in that box. It's not shown to me or anyone else.

I think it's just a good reminder to people to be careful about what kind of personal information you share. There's been some drama on other boards with weirdo people pulling up their personal information and posting stuff.

What kind of outings have you done? Do they stay pretty entertained in the stroller? What kind of time periods have you been out for?

Right now I think the biggest hurdle is really timing things right between naps and lunch time. I assume it'll get easier once they bumped down to just the one nap, but who knows when that will happen.

Hope my siggy didn't throw too many people off. It really doesn't do anything. Should I take it down?
