Keanan has a fat lip...

Now that he walking he is getting so many bumps and bruises.  And I know this is far from the last one Tongue Tied

Yesterday at DC, he was playing with a toy and decided to walk across the room with it and fell.  The toy hit him in the lip and it swole up.  He fussed for a second, but not because he just bust his lip... but because she took the toy away from him so they could check him out and ice his lip down.

This is a rough little boy....with a fat lip.

  • Oh poor little guy! I feel ya on the falling down thing, now that Sophia is walking she has taken a couple spills herself. Each time she looks at me like why did you let that happen. I have such a little drama queen on my hands..... I am in for it big time!

  • Poor Keanan!

Whats funny about that is that my little boy is SUCH a drama queen. He cries at the tiniest of bumps - I think for attention and cuddles mostly  :)

  • Poor Keenan! I am sure it will go down quickly though.

It totally freaked me out the first time Hudson got a big boo-boo and busted his mouth open and I saw the blood and about lost it! I thought we were going to have to make a trip to the ER for sure, but it turned out far less serious than we thought it was. Kids are tough and very resilient.....it doesn't make it any easier on us when they get hurt though, but it's definitely something that becomes more routine as they get more and more active. Sad Hudson's pretty tough though and rarely cries, only if it really hurts, most of the time he just keeps on going now, ha! It's certainly an adventure once they enter toddler-hood. Wink

  • Flygeah-  I've been meaning to tell you- I LOOOVE the new siggy pic.  That face of sheer joy is so awesome!

  • I am terrified for when T has her first big spill - she gets so upset now (the awful "Silent Scream" kills DH and me both) and I'm not sure how I'll handle <gulp> blood.  Ugh.  :(  But it doesn't surprise me that he wasn't really bothered - he's a tough little guy!  :D
  • Thank You!  I really loved that picture when I saw it.  He was so excited.

I was talking to my brother the other day.  He told me about my nephew CJ, he like to wrestle his teddy bears (he is 5 now)  Well one day he heard a big bang in CJ's room.  CJ come running out before my brother can get in there and yells " I'm OK"  while he has a bloody nose.  My brother said that is a typical day in their house.

  • Poor Keanan! I am not looking forward to that with Colten!
  • Oh no!  Jared hasn't done that yet *knock on wood*.  He's taken plenty of falls, but not on the lip.  I'm glad he's OK.  It's heard to think that they could possibly hurt themselves worse.  I think about how my mom must've felt when I broke my arm in 1st grade.
