Snarky and T-TTC

I wish they had a warning system

Like other forums (coughTWOPcough) do.

Under your user info, there is a meter.  If you break a rule or TOS, a mod gives you a warning, usually counts for 20% of your meter (could be more).  It also gives you a reason for the warning.  Once you hit 100%, you were banned automatically for 3 days.  3 bans = IP ban.  Good behavior removed the warnings.  Only the mods and user could see it, but at least you always knew where you stood.

I understand wanting people to follow the TOS, which include appropriate language and not harrassing other users, etc.  But it's so unevenly applied and seemingly without warning, which makes it quite frustrating from a user perspective.

  • I think they should have a questionnaire of why you are reporting them.  It can list different reasons.  If you make a false complaint it goes against you.  I don't think I have ever reported anyone.  If I did it would have to be for serious crazy.  Like lock them up and lose the key crazy.
